This was extremely helpful as I did not know about the laser calibration tool while setting up! My laser did indeed need a little bit of help reaching the center so I ran the tool and it's much better now! After that though, I'm still not getting any burning out of the laser module itself! Having a hard time figuring out the issue on my brand new machine :(

I have seen some creative uses for cnc machines before. This doesn't seem that creative to me. It looks nice and is repeatable for production. But, when I think of "art", production furniture doesn't come to mind.

We’re really struggling to get ours calibrated. I’m not sure if it’s new software but it’s asking for 3 optical path tests which require to make adjustments to each of 3 mirrors and then ends up with the first being off again. Customer service has been no help either. It’s become super frustrating! Do you only need to do one test in this version of the software?

This is beautiful to me. I feel the need to comment with a different perspective though. I’m an artist and I’ve been shocked at how fast AI image generation has developed. It’s already been overused so much that people have become tired of AI imagery. I’m worried the same thing will soon happen in woodworking as digital tools are increasingly used. This piece was created using digital technology and it’s striking because it would be hard to make by hand - it can be done by hand but what would be the point? Decades ago I used a jig saw and rasp and made topographic layered models, but today would use CNC and a laser cutter for better results. I really do worry though that it’s possible some types of CNC woodwork will unfortunately become cliches, like much of the AI images being created today.

When using the slide, you don’t put the cover down to protect your eyes from the laser?

How does it know where to put the design without a camera? Do you set up a perimeter size for it to go by for the design?

Hello, nice video! I have questions about the slide extension: Do I have to carry out the calibration every time the extension is installed and I use the F1 without it? and my 2nd question! If there are, for example, 4 coasters in the xcs, do I have to align them exactly and then measure exactly this distance on the extension and then align them? Very nice job. A friendly suggestion. Next time just use a pin nailer on edge banding with the glue. That eliminates the need for clamping and allows you to keep building. Pin nails can barely be seen.

How big is the plate of wood, which I need to carve the pieces out?😊
